Cl***ic vehicles look best with a period correct look. Is your truck about todays billet wheels or is it about the Cl***ic you own? Cast "Five spokes" are *****in. First concern should be safety and fixin what needs fixin, first. Be safe.

nice looking truck. the wheel size is good, just not chrome.
i'm a fan of steel 15'' wheels on old trucks, with lots of rubber on them.
    these are 15''

Dude, face it,no one here digs your idea of putting ****ing "dope dealer" rims on your cl***ic truck! now quit writing checks your *** cannot cash on here!

  10. Nice truck! I'd fix the front end so it's safe and comfortable and just drive it.

And by the way, if that exact truck had appeared in our little town in the mid 1960's it would have been on top of the food chain! Only a few sets of chrome wheels around here then and with baby moons so much the better! Black wall or narrow whites, it was the coolest set up ya could get!

I came close to buying a set for my '57 Chevy but instead spent the money on new seat covers and headliner. I regretted it later!

And as for white walls - at that time (mid 1960's) the style was thin whites not wide whites. Granted, this was Oklahoma and not So Cal.

Either way, that truck looks the part!!!!!

The HAMB is dedicated to spreading the gospel of traditional hot rods and kustoms to hoodlums world wide. That’s right – TRADITIONAL. And we aren’t talking Beach Boys and poodle skirts here fellas. If you are into a-side 50’s pop, lawn chairs, ruler contests, and all things that make hot rodding warm and cozy then you might want to find another message board. If you aren’t sure what we mean by “traditional”, then you might think twice as well. If you’ve come here to set a rep, talk some ****, and make some fun then you had better turn around right now. We aren't patient.

Even if you have come here for all the right reasons, don’t expect posting to be easy. We don’t cater to new fellas unless they show a dedication to spreading this tradition of ours first. We welcome young, old, foreign and all – but our original members and our staff expect a certain level of respect and an effort to keep things true and on topic.

Keep pokin' that dog with a stick. It's too bad such a nice truck is wasted on such an disrespectful ****.

If it were mine is all in the eye of the beholder. If your budget allows it, do whatever it is that you like! If the budgets tight, make it drive right and have fun!

I'm confused and curious, What would you call 3 posts in a row that are worded exactly the same, written at 4:24, 4:25 and 4:27 pm?

Here is a picture of my rusted piece of sh-t with 57 caddy's and 56 fiesta's on it. This is an idea of what this website is based on.

The truck is perfect looking as it is. When you put the big wheels on, get outta here and go find a streetrod forum. Usually more friendly but not when "donk" wheels are desired, nice to see ya, bye!! ~sololobo~

Thank you all for your comments and comentary. Im glad you like the truck the way it is so do i,thats why i bought it. I decided to go with 18"s boss 338 they look like torq thrust only bigger. I am looking for a front subframe as we speak. It sounds as though the gmc is a much tougher job than the chevy though. Any more "usefull" comentary on the clip job would be appreciated. And by the way, when you go over to the hiphop truck site they reference a lot of tech articles on this site. Everyone has their preferances but the work involved is all the same.

I doubt you're going to get any help from here on out...you basically been calling us names, while generally being an ***hole. Here's my simple suggestion, use the search function, quietly, then leave. You don't get us, and you don't belong here....you are only here for the the technical help, that us tunnel visioned, backwards stuck in the past creeps know, and you do NOT. Either stop being such an ***hole or GTFO.....

Traditional is great, I agree. Although big rims arent for this site it doesnt make them Dope Dealer or gangsta rims, Bought a new truck lately? I'm not taking up for the guy, just wondering why we choose to stoop to such a low level? traditional is not the only way to go, just the only way to go for this site. Being in tune with the Hamb isn't tunnel vision, calling every other style of car modification "junk" surely is. Now, lets get back to some wide whites and pin up cuties!!
