Can someone tell me what this vac*** port is for (right under choke cable)? Not sure if I should plug it or if there should be a line there. This is the stock carb on my buick 198 v6

Original vacuum source for original automatic choke (now missing). Plug it.

Your 2G carburetor originally had a hot air choke housing, coil & cover mounted to the air horn. The function of the vacuum port (in question) is to draw hot air through the housing to heat the choke coil. Since you're using a manual choke cable, you should plug the vacuum port and readjust your idle mixture & idle speed. Currently, the ports only function is to create a vacuum leak and disrupt idle quality.

Thanks guys! I have been searching for that leak for a while. It only took a buddy about 5 seconds to find it yesterday. The car definitely runs a lot better now.
