Damn, how did I miss that post? Anyway, that is the most coolest thing ever done for a kid. He will cherish that day forever. I hope he was inspired to do the the best he can in this world and build some cool hotrods too. You guy's rule. later shawn

    Bob,
this is like your very own version of the "Make a wish" foundation.

Maybe you should start your own foundation, "Make it Bleed" foundation...

Just think, Bob and the Cheaters could visit elementary schools across the country as "motivational speakers"... :D

    Thats really awesome!
Wish I had some cool car guys like that when I was little....

    Mad props!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

  7. This whole thread got me thinking that it would be awesome to start a "Garage Little League" or "Greaser Scouts" for all those kids that dig hot rods and want to learn about wrenching. I know the best time I have in the garage is with my 9-year old, Chet.

Organized or not, this should inspire everybody to get those neighborhood rugrats started in the hobby.

My wife teaches third grade, so I know that a lot of these kids have way more "issues" than I have now. Good job fellas!

It is nice to see people in the hobby helping kids. At least they are honest.

There are not too many threads that make you feel good that good to be ***ociated with others like that. And his dad's car is kick ***.

Gross Rod and Smells like spaghetti.

Kids don't hold back. They tell it like it is.

    Bearded head is funny.

    Great story.

Should go into Techomatic under How to be Cool.

Cool stuff, its cool to show kids who aren't the best in school that they can do really cool stuff with thier hands, and the imagination, and motivation that this kid very obviously has.

When my little girl was in elementary school I took my '54 Chevy down there and did a show and tell for the kids. I brought a hammer and dolly and some bent up metal and told them about custom cars and such.
It was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.

    I love kids.

We all should take a page from what The Cheaters did, if we all volunteered to do something once in a while we could make a difference.

I sent him some art prints. I hope he got them. He said he liked to draw, so I told him to keep doin it & not give up. I used to be a sub-teacher---That was Kool . i miss it.

The irony! I saw that 51 chevy @ our cruise nite @ Mcdonalds. Did not get a chance to talk to the owner. My brother did & he told me the owner's name was Damiaen. Well, ****, my luck. I looked right @ Corey & his dad when they drove out, but did not realize who it was!!! Now the car is for sale & I won't know what to look for.

Hey bob...this sparks some ideas. I'll tell you sometime. It'd be great to have a show that supports kids of misfortune (disabled? poor? abused?)
