I am heading out to Wyoming to go to Wyotech where I will be studying Hot rod fabrication, and High Performance engines and Chassis Fab. I would like to take my 54 ford customline out with me so I can use that as my project car. Anyone know of a cheap automotive transport company. I am broke after trying to come up with the money to pay for the school. I have resorted to making hot rod T
Shirts to try and make some money to ship out my car.
Anyone interested in one of my Hot Rod Ts let me know. I need the dough. They are all designed by me and made by me. No middle man. I do all the work myself.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

If it's gay I'll be pissed. Do you accept Paypal? I'd be real happy to send a brother to happiness. I'm an XL but prefer a L. Please email me with the particulars.

Yeah I accept paypal. All the shirts I have can be checked out at my thrown together Website at www.butchershopkustoms.com

All the money I make is going to help me to ship my car to Wyoming and to help pay for school. Trust me I need it.

Joy, I feel like I am back in high school all over again. I know I am new to this board but lets leave the locker room chat back in 12th grade where it belongs. I look foward to meeting some of the westeners. Hope you have room for a city boy.

Like anything, you never know who someone is until you look past what you see in front of you. I always like to think that everyone does what is best for them and not becuase everyone else seems to be doing at the time. But I guesse that is not the case all the time.

Thanks for buying a shirt. You won't be disaponted.
I plan on climbing to the top of my class at Wyotech so I can add a little something to the HotRodding comunity. I don't give up with out a balls out fight. You can count on that.

  8. Dont want you to give up, just give a fuckin intro!? Are you really sure you want to go to WYotech? What are your goals? What is the windspeed of an unladen Swallow?

  9. since you are going to be a smart guy going to Wyotech to learn all sorts of stuff about hot rods, and other stuff...tell me this...if the angle of the dangle equals the bore of the whore, how long will it take for a baby bullfrog jacking off in a pail of water, for the water to turn to steam?

  10. You mis-spelled your link in the classifieds. Just thought I'd let you know because it doesn't work the way it is. The one on this page works fine though. For what it's worth...a "proper" intro would really help you gain support around here. Good luck with school.

$900 is NOT bad for that kind of a haul. Mine was a bit over a grand from NH to AZ. If it CAN drive out there, then drive your daily out and go back for the other one. But $900 will probably be cheaper than the flight home + gas + food + motels + wear and tear and broken stuff.

BTW, the only reason I didn't bitch about you not doing an intro and spamming us with your first and second posts is because you live in Massachusetts. You've been through enough already. (I'm only half joking).
An intro should include: Where in Mass? How old are you? How'd you get into hot rods? Why Wyo-Tech? What are the particulars of your car and what do you plan for it? Otherwise nobody's going to help you with anything because they won't know you.

    Thanks for the heads up.

    First Off.
I am origanally from Gardner/Fitchburge Massachusetts. (Western Mass)
I am currently living in Boston.

I am going to Wyotech becuase, (A) I live, eat, breath rods. (B) I want to try and make a career out of what I love. (C) I just want to be able build a car from scratch. I love working on cars. I like old world craftsmanship that goes into building rods. I and I love feeling of accomplishment when I finish a project.

    I am 21 turning 22 in a month.

I am not really sure how I got into Go Jobs and Kustoms. My dad built Jeeps and Trucks. I used to always work on stuff with him. I guesse the main reason I got into rods was becuase I always owned older vehichles. I don't mean Model T or A old, I mean like 60's, 70's stuff that I always had to wrench on. So I just respected cars as the Mechanical art they are. I love driving history.

You guys are right though. I should have givin some kind of introduction. Do have to admit. After browsing the board there is a lot of kool stuff flying around.

Welcome, this place can teach you just as much as the folks at Wyotech. I lived in Malden/Watertown for almost 2 years, and worked on the Big Dig, which is why I made my above comment. I'd say that you'll love it out west, but Wyoming is colder than Mass. Maybe you like that, I know my friends all love the cold.
Did you ever go to either the Road Agents show in Hartford or the Alter Boys show in Worcester? Alot of the Alter Boys are in the Greater Boston area.

Only seen it in pictures, I met him (Pete) at the Road Agents show in 2002. I came out here the following October. I never did make it to the Altar Boys show. I only just recently found out that Mag Neto is printed in Watertown.

I'm actually heading back for Christmas, not looking forward to the lack of car culture for 2 weeks. Out here in Phoenix, there are weekly cruise nights almost any night of the week all year round. I went home for a wedding in October, and I can count on one hand how many cool old cars I saw. I can only imagine I won't see ANY while I'm home this December. Oh well, it'll give me something to look forward to when I get back.

Yeah Pete's modified is a cool car. Did you catch the article in Magneto about the drags in Butler NewYork. The Stumblin Idols car the Boston ShitBox was pretty narly. I actually helped Torr push the thing into the Road Agents show this year. The Stumblin Idols are a cool crew. They are from Boston.

The club I belong to is building a drag car to hopefully race at next years club drags. Hopefully we can get it done by then.

    Hey Deyo,

You sissy! I cant believe you left Mass! You ripped up roads up then up and left....what the hell! Hows AZ treating ya? Hope all is well.

Hey, I like the cold weather, kind of like a forced vacation from driving the cars....gives me a chance to fix all the broken shit and pick up the pieces that fell off on the Boston roads.

    Pete-

So let me get this straight - you live in Mass, but you're going all the way to Wyoming while you could learn the same program in Blairsville, PA?

I hope you are aware that Wyotech also has a campus near Pittsburgh. Might help you save some money as you won't have to move so far. [IMG]

Hey dont get me wrong, if thats your dream do it. All im saying is i went there, got good marks, came home and then got the rude awakining when i tried to get a job. I took the 9 month collision and refinishing with applied service management. The sad thing was in the end it was the management course that has helped me the most. I just want to be realistic with you. I learned alot in the refinishing phase though. just dont believe everything the recruiter guy tells you they lie bigtime. I would check into geting your own houseing. dont use the schools. also you cannot walk from housing to the school. I had to do it once or twice. It is very far. If you come from a col cold place then the weather wont be so bad for you, i went from cali. I never new your nose hairs could freeze when you breath in. And 20 below 0 is not that much colder than 0.

  25. 9 months? That doesn't seem like enough time. How much did it cost?
How long is the program your taking Butcher(I'd rethink that name if your going into this biz) Whats the cost?

well not to but in but it cost alot lol, but the advantage is that the programs are updated every year, like if you were going to work on new cars ect you can go back years after you graduate and take the program again for free and its all the new updated info.

that is a huge bonus if your doing tech stuff in my opinion becuase youll always need to know the new stuff.

you when make it out there look up nick day and tell him tim says hi, hes a big goofy guy shouldnt be hard to find

  27. I have a stack of WyoTech resumes on my desk right now. I wouldnt hire any of them. Like Chaco said, the real world is a lot different than what educators try to tell you. Remember that liking cars does not mean you should work on them for a living. I like to shit, doesnt mean I should be a plumber.

Good luck, if it is really what you want to do, fine. Just be prepared to look for a job pushing a broom for a while to get started in a shop. Also, I am a short hop away from Laramie, you are welcome to stop by Rapid City for a visit. The name of the shop I work at is A&A Restoration.

why do you have to shot down his dreams!!! If your a slug in life you won't make it no matter what you try!! It depends on what you want to get out of the education.Boy I never saw such negative Karma in my life.If he was joining the Army or something & there's a chance he'll get his ass blown off then try & talk him out of it!!You shouldn't fuck with someones goals in life!!!

Yeah I did now they had a campus in Penn. But when I applied the new hot rod facility was still under construction. If I could reapply I would rather go to Penn. I agree much cheaper.
