Race and I have been makeing some headway on the 32 sedan(mostly Race). First on the agenda was to cut away the rear portion of the original front x member where the original mounts went. That was fun, Old school using the torch and all We got the motor mounts done, they came out really sweet using a frame mount from an old hurst engine mount we had, the mount on the engine is a old after market two piece front mount kit. For the cushion we used the original frame mount for a 57 chevy. It is a cuchion that bolts to the frame and then another cushion the goes to the front mount that 57 Chevys had originally. So it all worked out real nice. Got the clutch and brake hooked up using the original pedals and fabed up the clutch lever using pieces from a combination of 39 and 40 pieces. Right down to the oriinal cleveses. So with the engine and trans in for good it's time to hook about 100 other things up. We took the fenders off to work on the car and we both like how it look as a hiboy, so we decided to give it a more aggresive look with the outside exhaust. And I'm not sure if I like the Early Corvette valve covers or the stock script ones. All in all it's shaping up to be a pretty neet car. Here are a couple of full mock up pics for you guys. I can't wait to drive this baby.
i vote for the script ones on that car. and im not bias cause i run them, on mine. but i just think they look right on there. then you can sell me the vette ones for alex's new car i hit send to fast... im digging it with out the fenders. that thing is kick *** like all your cars allways are. (by the way i still have all that **** outa your van here) better see it at billetproof!
Lookin real good Rudy. I like the exhast and the wires. I vote for the script valve covers also. See you guys in Indy.
Looks freaking great, It's a Hot Rod now and being fenderless shows off the stones. You can always put them back on later, or heck there for a 32 Ford, sell them on ebay and build a whole other car with the money .
Rudy, that car is just looking RIGHT. I love the look with the ouside headers, but the ramshorns could be added for a change in looks. With the wires it takes on a 40's early 50's look which I love. The use of 16's and skinnies with a hood moves the era back a few years The bottom line is that car can take on several personalities by just changing bolt-on goodies. You've picked a winner with this car. Of course you seem to make a habit of doing that Frank
Thats lookin' great! I vote for the script covers too. Thats just the way a traditional rod should look-not too radical, just straight to the point. Nice job! -Dean
Nice ride.I vote for the script also. How about them front fenders?I could use a nice right front for my old coupe if you aren't gonna put 'em back on. T.OUT
Yo Baby, Take your hands off the fenders and back away. If those are going anywhere I've got my sights on them. I think I've figured out a good plan. I'll just hold his girl friend hostage until he delivers the fenders. If that doesn't work I'll still win (and get some choclate chip cookies in the deal) Frank
Wow...only one thing wrong....the name on the ***le! Lookin' forward to seein' it in the figure 8 races Sat!
