My first post, here goes! I have two project vehicles, one that's truly a classic, and one that's classic only to me. The latter is my 1991 Plymouth Sundance, I've had it since high school and it has issues but it just won't die. As of today it's at 308,000 and counting. Its appearance has seen better days but it's still great for plopping a canoe on the top and hitting the road. My true classic is a Dodge Route Van, dropped it off today to get it repainted. Truly a rare classic, but its beauty isn't for everyone. A 57 chevy is a great car, one of the best ever made, but there's thousands of them around. I'm glad to have something that no one else at the show has, even if it's not so pretty. Why the Route Van? When I was a kid, there was a Dodge Route Van in the woods at my grandpa's farm. I hadn't run in decades but I had it fixed up, cleaned up, and decked out like any 12 year old would do. That farm and that truck are gone now, but in my twenties I found one of my own and I'm slowly bringing it back to glory. So that's me!
Joe, That van's so ugly it's cool. How about posting some more pics. Welcome from Michigan and good luck on your build.
Will do. It won't be so ugly after the new paint though. I'll miss the ratty appearance, but I couldn't watch mother nature eat away at it any longer.
Hey Joe, dig the van! It only takes one experience in life to change it. Seems like your heart is with that van and that's cool. Good luck & welcome to the HAMB !!!
