    You can't go by that alone. I bought a 348 out of a big truck that has the oil dipstick on the p***enger's side. It also had a deep oil pan with a dedicated oil pickup. Some heavy duty applications have it that way.

    Well, one step closer. I found out why the car was left where it is. I have also been trying to contact the owner in Virginia and see what it will take to get the car. I would really like to build this car for my 4 year old grandson.
    The 56 Belair was sold thanks to a friend of mine. The buyer got a great "one owner" car that was bought locally!

    Yep, That's a four body trunk on that pig, I know I've had them in there. 6 ft 6" wide so you don't bump their heads.:D ....

    Don't worry, we were camping and it was raining like hell. The front and back seats were already full, so four of us sat in the trunk with the lid part way closed. Better than getting soaked...:p

    I wouldn't mind finding a car like that. At least it's complete, lots of parts...

    I hope you can get them to sell you the 60 before it gets smashed by vandals, or grabbed by s****pers. Hard to ignore a 2 dr HT with a 348 and a std. trans.

    Hey, Lotek;

    No pics, but my 1st car, a '59 Belair post, black on black on silver/grey - :) , 2bbl/283/powerslide - :( , oddly enough had door seals *&* the trunk seal that didn't leak. Well, at least not until *I* damaged it... :( . Mine must've gotten through the leak-check by accident... <shrug>. Friends' '61, followed the leaks pattern... :) . I'd buy the four in the trunk. Biggest trunk I've ever seen, & lots of fun loading real heavy things over that itty-bitty tail-light panel, too.

    Marcus...
