I'm trying to take a steering wheel off a 1963 buick. I have the horn and center nut off. I have a wheel puller but don't see holes to bolt it into. On either side of the center shaft there are 2 "bumps?" sticking out. Is that just some sort of cover that needs to be taken off? I don't know how to get the wheel off otherwise. Thanks in advance -Chris

Probably like my 64 impala. Loosen the center nut until it is flush with the top of the threaded shaft. Reach your arm through the steering wheel and try to pull evenly on the steering while striking the center shaft/nut. After several strikes while pulling on the wheel, it should pop loose. Remove the nut and remove the wheel. Good luck

    Thanks,
    Robert
