chevy 250 question

    Ok guys so I got a chevy online 6 that came off a manual 3 speed an I wanna put it on a powerglide I was just wondering what do I need to 8do that

    you will need the flex plate instead of the flywheel, rad and cooling lines for automatic, and poss a mount depending on application. good luck!

    Beside the aforementioned changes, you may have to remove the old input shaft pilot bushing/bearing from the end of the crank.

    What he said, a lot of times the nub or knob on the front of the converter needs to go into the hole at the back of the crankshaft. If the pilot bearing is there from the standard trans it will not go in all the way.

  6. i have a rad for a 250 . pretty new .. too bad i just junked a complete 250 .
     
  7. As the rest said, it should bolt on. The 250 and 292 six use the same bellhousing pattern and depths as the V8's. Just get the flexplate to replace the flywheel.
