hello hamber's , i was wondering if anyone has installed window channel (felts ) which were pre bent from nca. Any problems or tips on installing . I just got mine & the felt has been pulled out of the corners when they bent them ?? Any help , much appreciated !! Thanks !!
Check to see if the two chrome coverings on both sides will slide when you bend the channel. I just did mine and some of the cheaper "C" channels have chrome that won't slide. This causes the felt to come loose on the bends. I found the better sliding chrome type channels at a local glass shop. You can tell them when you bend it, because the chrome covers, on both sides, will extend out from the felt on the ends. LC
Maybe put the curve over a can are something close to the same diamaiter and push down easy. The chrome may go back in place. When in the door it won't move. Not unsual. Happens in the higher priced repops kit also.
