Iam in desperate need of some help with doing suicide doors on my 53 4 door bel air. i got the auto loc suicide kit and what happens is it doesnt have enough throw on the hinge to not hit the rear qtr panel. so i cut and added 2 inces to the hinge and put the hinge closer to the outside. still having the same problem. so i was gonna try and add another 2 inches and get the pivot point as far out to the outside rear qtr as possible. any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

i have this pic of someone who has done it wondering if anyone has more pics of how he did it would steer me in the right direction. or find te guy whos car this is thanks

You need to mock up a posterboard cardboard hinge to make sure your making the right moves . That will save you some cutting and guesswork.

^^^ exactly. was trying to get an understanding of what he has already done to it. posterboard and popsicle sticks are your best friend. i end up using a bunch of pizza boxes now.

seeings how he hasnt responded in a while or been on ill give him his answer. make sure your pivot points are as far to the skin as you can put them and as inline vertically with eachother as posible to have a flat swing of the door. mounting your pivot point on the insede of the actuall door jamb wont allow for enough swing with out a lot of modifications to the hinges.
