chopping a 51 coupe ?

    ive havent seen to many 49-52 chevy coupes chopped & the ones that i have seen the rear qtr gl*** just dont look right ? anyway to make it look right ? does anyone have any pics of chopped coupes ?thanks

    Its all about the catwalk man
    Addin meat to that area between the trunk and rear gl***.and shortining the length of the top. Some folks just dont get it

    Here's a thread I started about a specific chop on a Coupe. I personally like how mild it is at 3", but there are quite a few Coupes with 4" plus chops that have turned out great. I feel because the roofline on the Coupes are already pretty short and the rear catwalk area is pretty long, they look better chopped than regular Sedans.

    The chop that Ian Berky did on "Munsters" 51 Coupe came out nice specifically because of the attention he put into the crown of the rear sail panels as well as the contour of the quarter windows. Here's that thread...

    Yes Ian's has a nice flow to it. A great example.

    Here are a couple of pics of Munsters chopped Coupe. Not sure if you were thinking about slanting the B-pillar or leaving them vertical.

    so you can make a coupe look good with a chop !! wow the 1 ian did is sick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anymore pics of it done ? i would like to see it at ride height ? i also like the one 49ratfink posted is there a build thread on it ? thanks for the pics !!!! now i have to get out the saw & get off my ****
