I'm sure this has been covered before but thought I would post some pics of my latest experiment. My Firedome is being built by me on a shoestring budget (I'm even making my own quarter panels). Since I can't afford an upholsterer yet, I wanted to at least make the inside flow with the outside. The car had been a Surf Green with a nice tri-color green interior but man, it was way to dreary for me. We are now going with red exterior with a red and black interior.

The bottom edges of the door panel vinyl covering were cut off and replaced with black marine grade vinyl adhered with 3M professional spray adhesive. The remainder of the vinyl was painted using three coats of Duplicolor's vinyl, carpet and fabric spray. I also covered the dash with the same vinyl...

    What do you think??

    Very nice!
I like when you can make something look really good by using your head/skills instead of your wallet!
    Good for you.
    Cheers......

I did a dash in an off topic car, and the glare off it was so bad you could hardly see out if the windshield. It was the same duplicolor stuff you used, after about a week I couldn't handle it and scotch padded it to more of a satin finish.
    Door panels look great though

The dash was done in the marine grade black vinyl, the same material as the lower door panels. Maybe if that glares too bad I can wear some sungl***es or use a different material :)

Thanks for the positive comments, I really appreciate them. Heck, I don't plan on having the cash to get the interior professionally done for quite a while, maybe this will end up being a long term experiment on color fastness and adhesives?
