Hey Cab...It was cool to meet you I wish I could of hung out but having to Run the Booth and Film the Paso DVD was a bit much..Can't wait to see your ride with the new paint skeeem... evel
Evel, good to meet ya as well ...even though it was a short visit that's a good thing though if you were busy at the booth all day long, man what a show, so overwhelming! I hope it all went well and you got some killer shots as well for the Paso film. I had a blast and i brought a new girly friend with me to the car show and she had a great time ... even though we only had 2 hours sleep the night before and were there from 5AM-5PM! She was a trooper that day, so i know now that she's a keeper for sure now I can't wait to see the DVD when it comes out. I'm pretty stoked about doing the new color on the Model A , I'm looking forward to it. best wishes, CAB
Iv'e got a similar set, I think from a bit newer model, let me know & I'll take some pic's, they do need to be rechromed.
hey cab, it was good seeing you again this weekend.. I have a set of those hinges on my 49. Not sure if they will fit on a flat surface..Its hard to explain; The back of a 49 is, in a way, rounded like a ball..the left and right side are different and angled so they will hinge from the rounded surface... I could just be over thinking it. I'm really not sure how they mount on flat surfaces I just wanted to give you a heads up..take a look.. don't ask about the paint!
Hey Cab I saw your coupe at paso. I actually saw you as well and was gonna say hi but you looked busy talking with your girl and didn't want to interrupt you.
Cab, you might like the 1950 hinges better for your application... someone have a pic to show him? They're more streamline... Oh, and where'd ya get that pic? Is it my car? It's the same color as my car...
Gracie, i shot that pic at Vegas this year, i forgot what car it was from, but the hinges cuaght my eye and that's what i want to mount on mine Yea if anyone has pics of the 1950 hinges that would be nice to see. thanks, CAB
the surprize is the best part! It's going to be painted by my friend Alex (Road Zombies) from Gambino Customs and striped by Franco hopefully...that's all i can say at the moment or i'd have to kill you CAB
wow i feel special, you told me and couple others what the new paint scheme is gunna be at the bowling alley in paso but i will keep my trap shut!
I know what color it is going to be...will reveal for the right price! Haha, that was a strange coincidence that I knew that guy with the car with your color! Good to see you there...I was at Alex's today, he said your car was coming in...
In this bad pic you can see the difference in the smooth swoopy 49 hinge, and the streamline 50 hinge...
Adam, good to see you at Paso as well, your buddies Merc was fricken "sick as" mate can't wait to see your roadster on the road, gotta get that thing going soon! My A goes in tomorrow into Gambinos place, so she'll be in the shop for awhile. best wishes, CAB
If you want something similar for $57/pair shipped , and you're not picky about the authenticity, this might work, maybe: http://parts.factoryfive.com/roadster/exterior/exterior.html I don't know if they're heavy duty enough for ya though.
Cab, here is a picture of the pair I have. These have pits, in the chrome. They would be o.k. for a driver. Not real nice.Let me know if you can use them.Thanks.
