The other day the wife was away at a B-day party, and after I had my honey doos done, I stood around not knowing what to do! I've had my merc for sale for a bit, and the only issue it had was some rust on the floor boards. So I descided to yank the seats out and take a look at them again. Well....about 20 minutes later this is what happened! After a couple weekends of playing with some metal on my Libert and making a die to duplicate the sill area, I can now say the merc is rust free..I always feel bad, the cars that I put up for sale always get the attention, while my keepers sit on the sideline giving me dirty looks, not starting, or the tires won't hold air when I need them too!!

Good job, happy to see that you had enough sense to raise the tunnel.

Amazing work, but was it really only 20 minutes later?

thanks guys appreciate the compliments.., i really wish i could keep it, im selling the merc to buy a bike my dad built before i was born and sold over 20yrs ago, i accidentally stumbled across it a few months back, so im doing what i can to get it back. to make the floor pans, i picked up a early 40's Libert nibbler that i found on craigslist for a good price and it was so huge i had to get it! i adapted some tooling to pound the beads in the floor, and it works very well. ive seen the smaller liberts sell for a few hundred bucks, they just dont have the throat size as this one and they are cast iron units, their max is 10ga steel.
