My nieghbor brought these over today. I need to id them and get an idea what they are worth so I can give him a fair price. Thanks Guys!
The shafts look like Appletons. Maybe Firestone, as they used the same shafts as Appletons in later years, and Firestone handles always looked like yours. But the heads look different than any I've seen, They are deep and pointy like a 112, but seem too small of a diameter. Maybe the rings are too thick, so it throws the proportions off and makes them seem different than the 112's. Lorraine used a lot of Appleton parts too, so maybe they are an odd model of Lorraine. The heads on Lorraines mounted directly to the shaft like yours, whereas Appletons used a cast flange rivited to the head at the swivel joint. - alchemy
I have the same spotlight (1) on my truck: It IS a Firestone and it WAS made by Appleton. (The shell is stamped with the Appleton trademark and the model number). I bought mine on Ebay and paid 35$ for a good, working specimen. Hope this helps some, whizzerick
i've picked up decent looking spots with minimal pitting and working bulbs for 5-10 dollars each at yards sales.
