some people just can't help but complain.....those are the people that would ***** if they got a free *******........
I forgot to mention thats these swaps are not a weekly thing! So i guess $10 is reasonable.$7 is more reasonable!!lol!! But ya have to remember Amherst is monthly & i think its free.vendors pay the cost of field rental,& its pretty successful jimV
Good point. I can't count how many times I've told people with other hobbies that I've got one of the few that I both enjoy and make money from. The best one was the guy who could't believe how much money I "throw away on old cars"---he's a stock car fanatic, and I know for a fact that he donated $2,000 to his brother's racing effort. I'm sure he got a big return on that investment......maybe a "thanks, Hank" painted on the tail end of the car if he's lucky.
Last time I went to Amherst a year or 2 ago it was free admission with a $5 per vehicle parking charge, same deal for years. Monthly but the first and last [April and Oct] are usually the biggest, less vendors at the summer dates. Arrive much after first light and you are late. Have seen vendors starting to pack and leave by 10-10:30 AM before. Always found enough to make the trip worth while for me. Ed
