Hi, I thought I would just ask my question straight out. Does anybody know how much wider a Roadster is than a coupe. I ***ume the body is the same length to share common cowls, gas tanks and trunk parts.
I have both and they are about the same at the door, width wise, like tub and s**** said, the doors are shorter on a roadster but the gas tank, subrail, decklid is the same. Wheel wells are a but different and the quarter are longer to make up for the shortened door. The panel below the trunk lid is taller on a roadster too. Same seat riser for both cars.
Thank you all for this information, have been trying to find out for awhile. So why do all the repro companies market "roadster" sheetmetal parts that are listed as different than coupe parts to confuse newbies like me!
I hate to disagree but the tanks interchange across all models. There were changes during production but at a given time all tanks interchange between the different body styles. Charlie Stephens
