What suspension changes have you made?
I put a 9" Ford in mine, after the Ch***is Engineering leaf spring package.

  3. I used a Ford 8" from a Granada, with the Ch***is Engineering leaf and sway bar kit. Use 7" wide wheels, no clearance issues(can't remember backspacing but not drastic either way)

8.8 rear ends are strond, plentiful and cheap and being used in alot of different cars & trucks
you prolly can find one that will be the exact width you need with disc brakes

    All good suggestions.
I have a Dana 44 in my '51 behind the 351W and 5 spd. Different, but it is strong and reliable.

Just be carefull because a lot of the older rear brake disc parts have been discontinued by Ford. Also 8,8 units have less rolling resistance than the old 8" & 9" units.
