Well here I am. I have finally decided to pull the pin on my own car.

I am a 40 something from West Fargo, ND with a background in welding and fabrication. I worked as a custom fabricator for about 16 years before taking on an easier and lazier career as a Agricultural Tractor Diagnostics Technician. I have also worked as a auto mechanic off and on for the majority of my life, working for dealerships to mom and pop shops.

I am a 22 year member of the Army National Guard, and am on deck for a deployment which will be my last before I retire from the military next year.

Now with all that garbage aside, lets get to the meat. I have acquired a what I believe is a 26 or 27 Ford which is going to be my hot rod project when I get back from the sandbox.

I literally tripped over this car while tracking a deer through a swamp bordered woods on a large piece of state owned land, which used to be the site of an old homestead farm. My brother-in-law and I went on a early morning recon mission and saved it from it's slow death. With 4 wheelers, a modified golf cart and a home made trailer, we made the trek 6 miles into the wild and made the recovery.

I am completely ignorant with this car and will be asking a ton of questions. This rig is going to a pure hot rod. No frills, no AC just horse power and fat tires, and frame twisting torque.

I have attached pictures of the recovery and the car for your viewing pleasure. Any help with the identification of this car would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, thats awesome! I'm no expert on the late '20s-early '30s Fords, but I am guessing you're probably right. I think it's older than 1928, judging by the height and style of the rear windows. Best of luck with it, and thanks for serving the country for so long!
