Hi, bought this 57 chevy fibergl*** front end last weekend, it was a "behind the barn find" LOL it was in the weeds, laying upside down on a pallet it looks to be off an old g***er or high end street machine, has a hole for blower or injectors/carbs cut in the hood, (covered up now) the fenders and hood were bolted together to be lifted off or tilted up, has the remains of a custom paint job on it, looks like it was candy gold flake? with blue and green candy flames on it, any ideas if it may have come off any known g***ers or street rods?

I removed the metal plate covering the hole in the hood, it looks to have had a tapered rear opening scoop on it at one point, also, looking it over more closely, i believe the fenders were bolted to the car, and hood was lift off style. it also has pinstriping around the headlight openings! also had the fender side moldings, and chrome trim on front of the hood. here's a few more pics,

I talked to the guy i bought this from today, he said the elderly owner had had it for at least 20 years, he used to race a first gen Camaro in Super Stock back in 60's/70's had several drag cars over the years, (he's in a nursing home now), he's gonna ask him what he remembers about it. was kept in the pole building up until the last 2 or 3 years.
