I thought this was a pretty good reference on heating and forming the stuff: http://www.plexiglas.com/literature/pdf/135.pdf
Jeem the optics are good. I am having trouble getting a good symetrical bubble. I had two more done and they are slightly higher on the driver side now. As soon as I get back on the car (right after Detroit) I'll have to make a male mold to pull the bubble over. Clark
SOOO ..JUST PLAN FOR THE BUBBLE TO BE HIGhER ON THE DRIVER SIDE.. then for sure it will not be... or better yet build a part line front to rear.. twin bubbleish glad your still picking at it looks good now go put that dome away before it gets full o **** and all scratched up..
The project is on hold for now. I'm still working on another project and the money isn't there right now. Clark
Just found this thread and bummed you had to put the skids on it. I am also building a bubble top - smaller out of a VW Karman Ghia (Dub-N-Aire). I am making an interior ring out of PCV pipe (I think) and will have vents in it all the way around. Also hinging at the front.
