Now this is a true Rat Rod!

  16. Holy cow that's funny. Try that today, pump exhaust in the sewer and smash the rats as they run out with a shovel.

Wonder if that would work around here ?

The 1st Stanley Meston designed Golden Arches was indeed built in Pheonix AZ.
The 2nd in Downey and 3rd in Alhambra. The Mc D's Bros tore down their dad's old Aero-Drome and build theirs as well, in 1961 when they agreed to sell out to Ray Kroc (Krook), they decided to keep their original location on 14th and E ST. in San Berdo. Ray built another accross the street at 16th and E ST. to spite them.

The Mc D Corp attempted to do the same to the Downey location in the late 80's by building a eat in restaurant with a drive thru with in a eye shot of the Tallest Mc D sign in L.A.County. It didn't work, The original owners were offered a whole lot of money to sell out to the McD Corp and finally did in 1990 and when the lease was to run out we had the Northridge Earthquake, suddenly the place was borded up and
closed. It garnered much ink/interest and the Mc D Corp restored and openned it back up with a gift shop shapped like the Mc D Bros orig Aero Drome restaurant.

It still open today and sells all the usual fare.
