I read a thread on here about using the bearing size to find modern break parts could someone please send me a link I cant seem to find it anymore
I think that they are talking about using the wheel bearing sizes to match up later or larger drums or rotors to early spindles. To some degree you can do that on the O'Reillys site by putting the vehicle your spindles came in the vehicle section and then going to wheel bearings and seeing what wheel bearings it takes If it works this should be the page with the wheel bearings for a 1050 Ford car. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/s...p?make=Ford&model=Deluxe&year=1950&vi=1339691 Click on the wheel bearing and it not only tells you the measurements of the bearing you can click on compatibility and see what vehicles that bearing fits. Then you can figure out if the hubs or rotors you were planning on running use the same bearings or you can find a bearing set that will work. And by the way brakes on a car are spelled brakes, breaks are for going to the can, taking a smoke or drinking a cup of coffee.
Mr48chev:;:; thanks for posting that. now i'm gonna have to find a cross reference no# for my 49..LOL since it doesn't wanna put Hudson in the vehicle finder.....
