Been reading on here for a while and finally decided to join. I live just South of Michigan International Speedway. I have owned a few nice Fords for a long time. A 67 GT500 that I have owned since 1987, a 66 Mustang GT fastback I bought in 1984 and a 65 Mercury Cyclone drag car that I aquired in 1994. I am active on the CometCentral forums and a moderator at Sheblyforums.com Here is the 66 at the track. 347 5 speed runs low 12's on street tires and stock suspension with some old slapbars. The Cyclone waiting to race at Norwalk a few years ago. 67 GT500 #2100
Nice looking rides, but they're a tad new for this site. Do a little surfing on the site and you'll see it's dedicated to pre 65 traditional rods. Good luck and welcome from Howell.
Yeah I know, but you guys have a great Comet drag racing photo thread and my next build it going to be a 50's truck for my hauler. Anyway, thanks for the welcome and i won't bring up my 65 and newer cars much.
