    ford motor gurus!!

what's the chances of "just" swapping a 351 into the spot of the old 360? my daily 71 ford 2wd is worn out. i can get a pretty sweet 351 but i don't want a major project. are motor mounts gonna be the same? how about mounting to stock ******? i haven't researched this much. i'm just starting the plan.

It will not fit the bell housing, not sure about the mounts.

Any smallblock mounts from 68 to 79 will bolt the 351 in your truck and you will need a smallblock trans.

with a 351 nothing matches -mounts, exhaust, trans. find a 390, way more power and its a bolt in to replace a 360

    Should be a C-6 but could be a C-4.

Trans is either a C6 or an FMX and I seriously doubt it would be an FMX. Check the ID guide below and compare to your trans pan.

The 360 is good, too. You could just rebuild what you have.

The HAMB is cool but for this project you need these guys.

I've got a '69 F100 Ranger shortbed and I've been able to get a ton of info from there and some pretty nice dudes as well.

    Good luck with it.
