I would like to remove the paint on my original offy 375 heads for my 8BA. They were painted all red long ago and I really would rather have them in the natural finish. What is the best product or way to go about doing this, without damaging or staining the heads?
    thanks
    Matt

Castrol Super Clean.. Let it soak for a week and blast the paint off with high pressure washer.

Bead blasted looks best. Nice clean crisp intake afterwards.

Be careful with that stuff, it will etch the aluminum.

  14. I use Permatex Spray Gasket Remover. It is the same stuff as paint stripper, but in a spray can. Available at most auto parts stores.

I like using aircraft paint stripper, then a quick shot of Purple Power, don't leave it on there too long or it will etch the aluminum. Finish off with the acid used @ truck wash to clean aluminum.
