my buddy had this shipped from down east,somewhere out of ontario. it is suppose to be a re-pop of the original mold for the batmobile which was used in the 2nd bat movie. thats all i know

 

oh,and i forgot to ask if any 1 on this forum can reconize the 49 merc, its kinda famous car?

 

I dunno...the silver one with the flames doesn't look anything like that flat blak one...wouldn't think it was a repop...!!!

As far as the merc goes, don't think that I have sen it before. Sure looks nice though.

the 49 merc belonged to Santo & Johny Farina. they produced instrumental hit in the 50's called sleepwalk,this merc was their car

 

The front shot of the Batmobile reminds me of Art Arfons LSR car.

i'd say so too, art arfon went really fast with that car. y did he call it the green monster,am i going color blind?

 

Of course I remember Santo & Johnny and their hit Sleep Walk I have a couple of their albums. One of the import auto makers used it as background for some of their tv commercials a few years ago, can't remember the brand they all look the same to me.
Didn't know they had the Merc, but it's cool and the time period sure fits.

 

One of Arfons first drag cars was painted green and ended up with the Green Monster name. The later cars ended up with the Green Monster name, even though they weren't green.
