Does anyone have pictures of the stock hole locations for the belt trim on a 52 chevy? My holes were filled. How do you access the holes from inside? Any tips. I am looking to redrill holes and put trim back on the belt line.

Not sure if this helps, but here are some rear quarter shots...you can see some of the holes at least. I am wondering if you can place new clips where you want to and drill accordingly instead of having to work backwards and redrilling what has been filled.

  5. the stock trim holes on the door are not secured from the inside. they had a push-in fastener. with the commonly available fasteners which go under the quarter windows, fasten with a sheet metal screw, and the trim snaps on. under the rear window, those are the ones that sorta rotate into place. those are secured from inside (and a complete pain!).

its been a little over a year since we did mine, and i cant remember if you can get to the ones in the door. you might have to drill a pair of holes side by side and file the rest because the stock fasteners are designed to fit in an oval hole.

the ones in the rear, you can pretty much just drill the holes and go. i would order the fasteners (clips) first and then plan out your spacing.

you might be able to get some universal clips and make something work.
