Those are the baddest machines on the planet...I was one step in the process of making parts on one very similar..(drawing/programming), only a 3 axis version. The cut quality and speed are tremendous. And the gas mixtures let you cut anything. Their maintanance program is awsome, there were no major issues for 5 years and counting. You'll be happy with it.

Gotta run a lot of parts for a ROI with that monster, all of which is figurable to justify the commitment.

The beauty is that machinery of that caliber can still be running once the shop is closed for the night. I have friends with CNC mills and lathes that are busy all night and they don't take breaks!

Thanks for keeping your production here in the USA. it looks like quite the task to get that to its new home. We have a '36 5w coupe and the entire bottom 4 inches of the car will be EMS patch panels.

I visit dozens of shops with Mitsubishi Lasers. They seem to be a good unit. Mitsubishi also makes it kinda irresistible. Mazak was king 20 years ago and now everybody makes a Laser. There is even a Turkish company producing 4 brands of Lasers under one (huge) roof.
You will be happy with your Mitsubishi. Just use your warranty and watch what the service guy does. Learn how to install your own optics and re focus. When I service my machines on the road, all someone has to do is start talking about cars. Then that guy gets special treatment and I usually show them all I can about their machine. Kinda like setting cookies out for Santa. Guess you will be buying distilled water by the truckload. :)

Hey EMS, nice bit of kit there!!! I'm having laser envy. Am I correct in thinking it's a co2 laser? And if so, did you consider a fiber laser? Just curious.

    Thanks for posting the pics.

The big 4000 to 6000 watt Cincinnati Lasers are made in USA(I think) but the little 1500 watt blue ones look Japanese. You can buy two new Mitsubishi lasers to one used Cincinnati. Mitsubishi has a far better track record. Just my opinion.

It's called "internet etiquette". It does sound like shouting. When you get a blueprint, it's in all caps because, even blown up, the print is small and there's less chance of misreading it.

When you pick up a book, or a newspaper, is the content in all-caps?

I was just kidding around (until my masculinity was questioned) - I meant no offence :)

Nice! I have bought just about everything you make for 53-54 chevs and look forward to buying more in the future. These are good times when you can restore and old ****box with properly tooled metal. It makes life a lot easier on a guy like me and its nice to know its made in my own backyard.

Thats a very nice machine, I work with many fab companies using laser and low volume stampings. couple of them are a little south of your backyard.

Thanks for sharing, that is a helluva machine that i could afford to operate for about 2 1/2 minutes. I doubt if there is enough power in our town to operate it, we could turn your cooling tower into a viable heat source - not that i'm green or anything.
I just hope the economy turns around and other companies can start investing in equipment and putting people to work. Making things in America was our pride and that is what made this country as great as it was, and now taht we have become a 'service oriented community' this place has gone to **** and nobody knows how to do anything anymore. Thank you for making a difference.

  30. Sounds like an awesome machine and great to see a company committed to making products in the US instead of cheap **** from overseas.

It is a shame though that there isn't the option available to buy a machine capable of this kind of production made in North America - just another example of the unfortunate path we've gone down...
