I'm getting ready to chop my A model coupe ,and i can't decied how much. So I need a lil help. I'm thinkin around 4. Thanks! Kennedy
Here is a picture of my dad's 30 model A, it is chopped 3.5", he is using fiero bucket seat. My dad is 6'1" tall and he has plenty of head room.
My car is a 31. I'm going to use a 32 frame but I'm in high school and having to save my money up as I go to buy parts I've about got enough to buy a new set of 32 rails from American Stamping. (They are about 2 hours from where I live) I've got a 292 Y-block with 3x2's a dropped axle and a Halibrand quick change waiting on the frame already. So right now i'm doing metal work patch pannels, chopping, & a few other odds and ends to it. Does anyone have any pics of cars chopped around 5 or 6 inch's? Thanks Kennedy
Chopped mine 3 1/2, still has the original bench seat...the seat could be a bit lower. Need to get the dropped axle that's sitting in the garage under the car!
I'm thinking 3-4 when I get mine together enough to chop....... seems when you go past that the rear 1/4 window starts to look a litle squished thats my $0.02 for what its worth oh yeah and at 6 foot 2 I guess I might need some space for the ol brain container
I just went ahead and chopped mine all the way. Just kidding, I found this in the HAMB, thought it was funny.
here is mine, 4 3/4" I am 5' 8" and I sit on the stock seat height. I am very comfortable in this car but some one taller may not be. good luck
I think they LOOK best when that 1/4 window ends up the same height as it is wide. That looks more "normal" to me than stock does.
This is John Ford Man's coupe, it's chopped 6 inches. This thing is going to be tough as nails. I might be able to get some more pics tomorrow. He's just about got it ready for the Antique Nationals.
I like it I like it. Hey Kennedy, you ain't got a hair on your *** if you don't go at least 5",LOL T.OUT
here is a pic of mine chopped 3 3/4 and channeled 8 with a z'd ch***is and I'm a giant at 6'6" tall. The roof is 46". You should see the looks I get when I get out. Rodger
