That's cool Don. I am sure i had a pic of your ride at some point but i have lost some of the other pics i took. Too many years and too many miles have gone by. I consider myself lucky to still have these, LOL.

drove from San Diego that year, 30 coupe chopped and channeled w/ wife and two kids, yes it was crowded. we went on to the coast and returned. Remember the hemi powered T with wing and hot lady for sure.

I was there with my wife in my 40 coupe. On Saturday Elvis rode thru the fairgrounds as a p***inger in a 40 Ford (not mine)

  9. Excellent photos! I was there in '75. The flip-up Crosley belonged to Dave Lukkari and was the "Grand National Champion" for the event. Sadly, Dave p***ed away earlier this year.

My brother has some great movies of the '75 Nats. They were doing work on one of the building roofs and left the ladder up, so he climbed up on the roof and shot the driving events and grounds from up there.

Over the years I have owned two of the cars from your album. The light green 32 Chrysler split windshield coupe and the flip hardtopped purple T-Bucket called the FiberFreak.

Does anyone know the car show name of the early Vette at the bottom?

I wasn't at Memphis in '75, but the crazy painted roadster shown in two of the lower pics looks familiar. If it's the car I'm thinking about, the body was something strange like a Jordan.

Me, my wife and4 year old son left south east Texas in a T bucket with no top for the 750 mile trip. The car had less than 300 miles on it when we started. It rained from the time we got there to when we got back and still had a good time and saw Graceland while we were there

Heard stories from friends that were there about Phyllis Diller, a late night pool party and something about all the poolside furniture ending up in the pool while the sun was coming up. At the time , fun with cars and beer.

This comes in two sizes that I know of. The edge of the blue plastic thing is sharp and while squeezing a few drops of the solution you work the blue s****er under the photo. The photo will lift up off that nasty magnetic photo album page like magic. I wish I was closer I'd help you with this project.

I was thinking and trying to remember the name of the Vette. I think it was called "Swamp Rat".

The Vette was named "Super Rat" and was owned by Willie Wagner.

Yes, I do vaguely remember Willie. Could not remember his name. Bob Raines had a very similiar car on the car show circut about this same time. It was a bright candy red one called the Cherry Smash

I believe it is a lasalle and is owned by Ed Leapold from the alton Illinois area, I think he still owns it to this day and it has been untouched.
