If it is like Florida the plates don't have anything to do with the ***le, the ***le is the same whether you run regular plates or antique plates. You first do the ***le transfer and it is now in your name, then they offer you the choice of putting regular plates or antique plates on the car. The antique plates are generally cheaper per year but have some usage restrictions attached, like only being able to use the car for club functions, shows, maintenance, etc., whereas with regular plates you can drive it just like your family daily driver.

the ***le should be the same unless its been reconstructed. I would think you could just get a regular plate for it.

My understanding is once you have put antique plates on something there is a process to change back. Marge at Hawk Mt. Inspections is the best person I know at this stuff. I don't have the # handy. They are in Hamburg Pa. Just call directory ***istance.

I live in PA and I can tell you this-If the car has antique plates on it, the ***le will state ANTIQUE Automobile. I'm not sure of all the details to go back to regular plates. I do know that ALL the lighting must be up to standards(turn signals, headlights, taillights, four way flashers, ect) Check with your local dmv office.

Yeah, Pa could be different, it always was when I lived there. My Florida ***le for my 27 is just the same as any regular daily driver ***le, but my plates are antique. I could forego that next time I register and get regular plates if I wanted. But every state is different.

Pa. Just like Don has stated. In Pa. your ***le will not change, but you have to change your registration back to a regular plate, then start paying ever year for your little year sticker for your plate. Shouldn't be a big deal at all. Any local DMV can handle the job ! good luck
