I did some straightening on my weld on the passenger side. I also set the decklid skin in the hole just to see what it looks like with the hole filled

I started on the back window surround tonight. I drilled the plug welds and took the bottom drain pan off. I chopped the frame work. I then had to narrow the bolt on panel on the front. Ill finish it up tomorrow night

That will be good to have the rear window roll down, might come in handy going to the round up. ;)

Don't remember.........are you planning to chrome the garnish moldings?

Tonight I chucked a chunk of steel up in the lathe. I made a shift knob for myself, took awhile but I like it. I also welded the original shift handle to the t-5

  15. I thought the coupe molding was a little thinner than a sedan molding, to
allow clearance for the glass to roll down. I know the coupe moldings have
    slots for rubber bumpers.

Here is the difference from the coup to sedan. The larger one is coupe. The coupe does have slots for rubber bumpers but the 2 moldings have the same width I measured it to make sure it wouldnt affect the window

Heres a better pic of the shift knob. I buffed it. The last 2 nights I worked on the drain pan for the back window. I had to replace the entire bottom of it. It is welded into the car and done now

I got the trunk hinges mounted to the body. I rebuilt the trunk latch. I made a new surround for the decklid inner and got it tacked on. I also did a bunch of straightenin on the inner and repaired the cracks

I know it sounds redundant, but I completely enjoy and respect the determination you've shown on this car. I know you may not think about it, but you give a lot of people some joy over seeing a yard ornament become a classic. It motivates the me to see what CAN be done.

beautifully done, proportionate, and aesthetically eye pleasing. I dig the way you balanced out the dash with reshaping the glove box door. keep it up, its not very often you see a good fabricator with good taste.
