?????? The car has to have some sort of harness to run. At the very least the engine harness has to be in place. You would have to wire in a starter switch of some kind to crank it and turn it off.

If you're just trying to move it around the shop disconnect the generator, the starter will be fine on 12 volts if it doesnt take 10 minutes of cranking. I would put a 12 volt coil on though.

coil + to the battery, coil - to the distributor. pretty darn simple. If you're gonna run it for more than a few minutes, then you might want to add a ballast resistor between the battery and the coil.

One thing to remember with coils. The + or - post that hooks to the distributor will always match the ground on the battery. If the battery is negative ground the coil will be hooked to the - post on the coil.
You could either hook it up to the stock switch or you can use a universal switch or you can use a toggle switch and a push ****on. Or you can really be cheap and twist two wires together and hold the third against them to start the car but that is is getting pretty cheap there.
You also need a ballast resistor in the line from the switch to the coil to keep from burning the points up.

between ignition switch and coil, but it would probably work the other way too....except it would be hard to byp*** it for starting (when you get the thing ready to drive)
