What you have accomplished is amazing! One of the most impressive displays of talent I have ever seen. You are a true craftsman! Keep up the good work!
The car is done, well done enough to show anyways. Hope to see lots of friends at Goodguys tomorrow! I will be on the asphalt for judging in the morning and in the AIRAID booth for the afternoon.
I finally got to see the Kaiser in person today. It's beautiful to say the least, and a beautiful day for a car show here in AZ. Keith is a great guy with friends and family to match.
saw this car in person today when you were driving through registration and again in the show. your pics dont do it justice, very impressive work.
Damn Keith! That thing is beautiful!!! I hope you got the recognition you deserve today... Chrome plater Josh, it was great to meet you as well.
Yeah, one of you had to have a box with a pinhole at least! I want to see as many photos of this masterpiece as possible!
Yes, one of us had a box with a pin hole at least... Just not the technical know how to load the damn thing!!! Fresh back from Best Buy's Geek squad...
It looks so amazing, and to think of whee it all started really gets my juices flowing (I want to go work on mine but it's winter)
Thanks for putting up a pic. I have lots of progress pics to upload from the last week and a half but it's going to take me a few days to get them up. I was able to make a ton of progress with the help of my friends, Kaiser Larry and my father in law. I took a quick count and I had over 100 hours into the car in 8 days, and if you add in the help I got it was probably more like 200. It was a serious thrash. I should have a pretty cool pic to put up for you guys tomorrow after about 7:30, stay tuned.
Just wanted to point out who is in this pic. That's ChromePlaterJosh in the black shirt on the left, then Zach who was a big help, myself, and my friend Tom.
The fad looks a lot more "natural" out in the light, as if the sun plays off the body curvature... Really stunning...and yes, I just said stunning with regard to a Kaiser
Wow! That is just soo cool. Congrats on a simply amazing build. We will never see another Kaiser like that for sure!
Here are some pics. I took a ton, these are just the ones I reduced enough to post. More later.. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Quotes of the day: "Is that a Winfield paint job - Did Gene paint it himself or have someone else do it?" "That's a nice Chevy" "Is that a Studebaker?" "Nice Merc" Overall, the criticism was minimal, mostly just very complementary and appreciative of the scale of work. Amazing, well done Keith.
Thanks for posting those Pat. What about "Can I sit in the trunk?" Craziest one by far! It was also interesting that a lot of people liked the paint, but few knew it was Winfield. Guess it's just a niche thing. Even the announcer at the awards ceremony didn't mention it. He just said 51 Kaiser with a 65 T-Bird interior. Although I think I distracted him by dragging it through the awards ceremony. Still trying to get the video from my friend.
That car is truly subtle. The mods you've done on it, and especially taking a four door and making it a two door, are just amazing. Wish I had just a fiftieth of the talent you have to envision this and make it come together. I love the chrome reverse wheels on it. Simple, effective, and attractive. Winfield's paint job goes without saying. Too cool!
