Those are nice wheels. You're lucky to have them.

The wheel on the left is the magnesium American 15 by 4. The wheel on the right looks like a magnesium 15 by 10.

In the '60s, American Racing only made those sizes of five-spokes in magnesium.

Really old thread but wondering if anyone has seen a set of 18" (torq thrust) in a nice narrow 4 inch for fronts?

I am thinking I will have to have a set of 18x8 narrowed to 18x4.

The Team III Aluminum 15x4 torque Thrust is a one piece wheel. I have had a pair in my hands. A friend of mine lent team III a magnesium American 15x4 Torque Thrust to look at so they could make the new wheel. It has a thick oval shaped outer lip that I machined flat and then polished it.
I would say the original magnesium 15x4 wheel has a round spoke American made the 5 lug and a Spindle mount with this design. The 15x4 & 6" Lemans with a flat spoke.
By the way Opinions are like butts but why ram your thoughts to put down the guy who actually has a car on the road.
You can see some of my wheel information at www.torquethrustcentral.com I only talk about Vintage or Vintage style aftermarket Aluminum & Magnesium wheels. Terry

Wow! You are the torque thrust guy, I know you deal with vintage but do you know of an 18x4 torque thrust besides custom narrowed? I am in the hunt for a pair.

    Thanks for any help.

Buy some with the spokes you like and have them cut to the width you like.

I had a set of 18 OEM mustang wheels looked at by http://www.weldcraftwheels.com/ to see if they could cut them down. But since they "bell" out they said they could only get them down to 6".

Are the aftermarket wheels straight across?
