lol, I think this is the wrong board for a cowl induction scoop.

The one's Hellbilly posted are cool....even the black, '80's "snorkel" scoop....they rule...on the "right" car. Haha.

  6. unless its a camaro dont put a cowl induction scoop on it

i say go with either the 67 427 vette scoop (my personnal choice)
or how about a "grumpys lump" (at least thats what ive allways known them by) for more of the nostalgia vibe (i HATE the phrase old school)

tear drops look good on most anything

Race cars look pretty nasty with a tall cowl hood like Tony Chisten's old red 57. Any "scoop" might be too much for street car. Definately not one of those ford teardrops!

  8. I was not familiar with this term, so I Googled it and found it used on three or four forums - all by Groucho

Is this going to be a functional scoop or just for looks.

I vote no scoop. If it's got something under the hood that is big enough to need clearance, then either stick the air cleaners or a Hilborn scoop on it and cut the hood to fit. If it doesn't have anything tall for an intake and you don't need hood clearance, than it just looks goofy when you open the hood.

A scoop for no reason only looks good with curb feelers, red jeweled mud flaps and a lighted Swan hood ornament and dingle berries around the windows.

I had a 55 with a original size cowl scoop ( not the tall ones they use today) and it look very nice. RLS
