if its camaro most 71-81 , NOva had some subtle differances through the years . Need to pull axle and count splines and measure length of axle or housing , I think nova is a little bit narrower than the camaro/firebirds in those yrs

do you need an axle due to a bad axle bearing? check on a special bearing called an axle saver bearing.i have bought them at auto zone, it a bunch cheaper than a new axle.

Was just going to suggest this also. The design of the GM rearends the axle is the inner race for the wheel bearing. It causes wear and messes up the axle if your axle bearing ****s out. The saver bearing enables the bearing to ride on a new portion of the axle for the inner race.

If you call us tomorrow with some dimensions we may be able to supply you with a new aftermarket one by Thursday.

The bearing surface is too chewed up for the axle saver bearing , still trying to find numbers or any info on the housing to give me a clue as to what its originally out of . Just can't tell if its a nova or camero - or if it even matters .
