Anyone seen anything painted flat dark blue? I'm looking for a temp color I can use for the "rough" stage of my build....no gl*** interior or insert stage. Something I can spot in as I do the body work on it... I will paint the coupe gloss black eventually before it gets the interior and insert. but there are a lot of little dents that need to be taken out before that will happen. I'm just looking to have a solid color on it. Any pictures?

A lot of the new sealers and primers are tintable. Thery won't be water resistant or UV protected. But they would be workable as you go.

If you want to paint the car black..it's best to start with straight sheetmetal. If you have a problem seeing the dents in bare metal, spray some black epoxy on the body. The black will help you see the dents. then do your bodywork over it.

You should be able to get your paint guy/gal to tint some primer for you that will do what you want like what is on the roadster Slick Willy showed. All of the purple/lavender photos of my truck that have been on here are tinted primer. My buddy would just mix it up and I would use it however it came out.
