Tom, from the look of the photos you were there on Sunday?

Saturday the place was about at capacity.

    Great photos.

That's cool, the smell of gas and oil and fibergl*** resin has completely killed the brew smell.

Proof that wheels and tires can make or break an otherwise killer car.

Not the choice of my taste either.

But in showing a range of styles, I am attempting to appeal to a wider group of individuals. Strict constructionalism is a not a bad thing; I have "rules" in my mind too.

Thanks for the photos Tom! I took many of the same shots/cars on Sunday, as it's much better than fighting the crowds and dealing with so many of the "confused" cars on Saturday.

JSHAW, thanks for posting up some pics of my truck, too! I never remember to take photos of my own ****...

Blech. $10 says he bought the car then had to put tires on it. Discount Tire here we come!

At the very least he should have found matching radials front and back, it's just sad to see.

You're doing just fine. Not critical of your pics at all.

Thanks. There were a few others I liked, but which I omitted because of "traditionally incorrect" wheel and/or tires. Like this one.

Please don't think I'm a tradition wonk. I am a hot rod snob with particular tastes in cars and trucks. The above truck is fine because the wheels and tires match each other and go with the style of the truck.

Perfectly said. A theme should carried through from beginning to end. It's a nice looking deuce for sure but I said the exact same thing. Tom, we're not criticizing the car, its just like a Miss America contestant missing a few teeth... You'd notice it too. :)

  20. Agreed. The car has to have "the look" for me. The stance and wheel/tire style and height are to me, what makes or breaks a car. The trucks looks great. I have even seen some newer import cars that were done nicely, where the owner did his homework and picked the correct wheels and got the stance and tire heights just right.

I like 'em all, but when they're done right (at least in my own mind), it definitely does it for me.

Thanks, guys. We are thinking on the same page. Stance is everything to me and that truck sits good.

Stance, wheels, tires, placement of tires in their openings. Oh yeah, and the slightest hint of cinnamon essence wafting playfully from said vehicle.
