Considering ford in a ford power for my 40 coupe i was curious if hurst made a motor mount for the fe or y block engines back in the day?
Hurst made mounts for both FEs and Y blocks. The Y block mount required a truck style timing cover and a draft tube or PCV in the valley cover, as the breather on the driver side front had to be capped off for clearance.
heres my deal. i have 2 fe's a 352 and a 390. i decided i want ford in a ford for my 40 coupe my 2 choices were fe and y block. i have the fe's like i said and still looking for y blocks think i may have found one of those too. its just the task of explaining to my wife why i am buying yet another engine...
oh i will probably end up with the y block but you know the old song and dance. to her one engine is the same as the other
