Ok, this picture above could 1950, but no, it is a few days old. This exactly what the shop would have looked like where this model T racing engine was put together to be raced in the monoposto "limitada 28" category here in Argentina. The work would have been done with very simple tools, not to much order, well in to the wee hours of the night, with no money at all. This is my good mechanic Carlos and this is his shop, this is not done up, this is for real. I think I am very lucky to be able to see the progress on the car as if I was in a time machine. Though many of you may have never seen a shop like this, I can assure talking to Carlos alone is a mind exploding experince. Please forgive if me if this is off topic, but I think there must be some of you guys out there who might just see the romantic side of this. Some other time could tell you about the insides of the motor.I am having a whale of a time.Belive me.

The Tommy Milton Indy Delco advert is great.

What Delco system did he run in this car? Would it have been a Stutz Delco Double Distributor kit plus twin coils, assuming the engine used twin plugs?

    Cheers

Could someone tell me what you call these wheels, they are stamped from two pieces of steel and welded together, NOT WOOD, popular on english cars. [IMG]

Probably 'Sankey' wheels, they were pressed steel.
