Well My son Race and I have been thrashing like mad dogs on this ol' heap and tonight was a big pay off. I did a quick wiring job to get it to start and charge and we fired it up about an hour ago. What a great feeling and sound I might add comiing from the open headers. So, it has brakes, Stearing, suspention all ****oned up, It starts with a key, hopefully the generator will work, it worked in by friends 57 chevy. But we couldn't run to too long there is an issue with the oil filter adapter, The original canster one crashed into the wishbone so we had to put an adapter on and use a spin on filter and we didn't have the right one and it wouldn't seal. sure put a nice shine ion the garage floor though No big deal. It was actually the only leak. So tomorrow a road test in order and hopefully the clutch and trans will be ok. Everything seems ok so far though. Here are acouple of pics of the car as she sits tonight. Lets see, I hear there is some show this saturday with a bunch of traditionl hotrods, Maybe they will let us in
we know you have to many of those sweet trim rings when you put them on the inside and outside of the wheels kick *** man.... looking forward to seeing it saterday. are you driving the roadster there? i cant wait to here about this front suspsension for my new 50....
So you caught that trim ring on the inside too eh . I wondered how long that would take someone to notice. Yeah I'll be driving my 32 roadster, you know how tupperwhare is I can put some of Denise's cookies in the trunk and they willl stay freash all day Probably have to haul the sedad close, but it will have to drive in under it's own power or Race says he won't go. Not like guys haven't been towing cars to these events in the past, Don't make me name names I tell you what, this is the the most fun I have had building a car in more than 10 years. Just might be a keeper.
well if he wants to dump it by the show then i can stay with the car or take the "rig" back to my dads place. you guys just give me a call saterday morning and let me know if ya need a hand with it and what not. or just drive it the 5 miles from my dads house. but she is ***y for sure...
Looks great, it's gona be a big hit! I'm glad all that thrashing came togther, that was a pretty quick build, but its too clean, you need to park it under a tree for that "Barn Fresh" look. (The trim rings on the inside of the wheels, now that's some riddler **** there )
Looks great in the pictures. Can't wait to see it this weekend in person. The fact that you are having fun doing it makes it all worthwhile. Den
The sedan looks great. I love the highboy look! Congratulations! I'll take a Cuban stoogie, if your handing them out.
Looks good Rudy. Bring it down to Indy next weekend...I can't make billetproof tomorrow. You guys have fun with it.
It must feel really good when fired up and driven, one day i'll enjoy the same with my truck... Nice job, looks *****in homie... Have fun..
Looking good Rudy AND Race. I'm anxious to see it tomorrow. I'll park my heap next to it and It'll look even better. Frank
