    Howdy Folks,

I am starting to put together the first of many pieces to my 2012 tour and would like to fill you guys in & hopefully get some info from you too!

In 2012 I plan to do a 2-3 week acoustic tour through Texas in my 52 Chevy Kustom, the wife is alright with it & I am even trying to get several magaiznes, newspapers & tv/radio stations to cover the tour. My goal is to cover a large chunk of the state by myself in my car, hopping from Honky Tonks to Car Shows to whatever I can find to pay for hotels, food & gas! The idea is to do***ent a young Texan musician playing old style (Real Country) music in a cl***ic car like the the old schooler's did back in the day. If you have any places in mind or any cool ideas to pitch to me I am open for ideas..... I am thinking sometime between April & June for this tour & I will fill in as the time gets closer and I put a hard date to it.

Two weeks, hopefully around 5000 miles, my 52 Chevy & my guitar.....

    Cheers,
    Sam Navarro

I'm not real sure yet, I wanna try and hit the major cities (Houston, Austin, San Antone, DFW) But I would really like to take country roads and find some cool old honky tonks or bbq joints around the state. I am hanging a huge map of Texas in my office & I am going to start trying to find town/places to play and then map them out. Any & all ideas are welcome.

    Thanks,
    Sam Navarro

Awesome, I am super willing to play 2-3 shows in one day if they are close enough to each other. I am going to try & get some kind of sponsorships from like O'Rielly's, LaQuita & Guitar Center. My goal is to not only take pics from everywhere but try and get video and make a cool do***entery of it. This is very much in the early stages but I hope to have it done and hit the road before another Texas Summer! Lol..... Shoot me any info or recommendations please, I want to be sure to play for as many music & car lovers on this tour.

    Cheers,
    Sam

Thanks buddy, I've got a lot of planning to do in the upcoming weeks with mapping out path, bookin show and hotels, trying to get sponsors. I want to get a poster together ASAP so we can start marketing it. Might sound cliche but I don't really care about making a ton of money on this tour, I really just want to cover cost & have a geat time. You only live once so you better take a wild shot in hell every once in a while!

I will keep you posted for sure.

    Thanks,
    Sam Navarro

There's the FinishLine near the I20-I30 merge in Aledo, just outside of Weatherford. Cool little joint and it's great for shows, seen Dale Watson there a few times. There's also The Stagecoach Ballroom in Fort Worth, another kick *** and historic location. I will keep my eyes open when I'm at work delivering Christmas cheer, or just packages...depends on what kind of mood I'm in!

I live in a little bitty town right now, but my favorite station for years is 95.3 the range. The singer from 1100 springs is (at used to be) a friday night DJ. Email them for some shows or whatever. He is a really nice guy.

Forgot, 95.3 is out of Fort Worth but broadcasts all across DFW

There is the Parker County Sherrifs Posse arena in Weatherford or Sons of Herman Hall in Deep Ellum Dallas. Both good places and room for lots of cool rides!

Hey Sam, another great place that would be cool to play(though it's not in my area) is Poodies hilltop in ****ewood tx, just west of Austin . It's a hole in the wall type of bar but those kinds are always the koolest. Plus willie Nelson is part owner. Been there lots of times... Neat place
