Help . . . My buddy Purchased a stock standard solid 1950 Ford Custom Convertible from Kentucky and shipped it down under a couple months ago Australian DMV are asking where the frame number and engine number's are - Engine Is apparently 8ba The only Id numbers we found are on the Tag on the firewall and thats only the VIN number.
We cant get it registered at DMV In Melbourne without so we are asking all you guys who have either had one or have the knowledge to help us out here locate the Engine and frame numbers please.

    Thanks In advance

    Regards Nev

On my '51 Ford, the number is on the right hand front of the frame. You may have to sand the area to get rid of the paint.
I think it's in front of the crossmember.

There should be a number on one of the little 45 degree braces between the frame rail and radiator support member. Good luck with the project.
