I thought I was a member but I guess not. I have lived in Coos County for most of my life. I have owned many old cars since my first (1956 Chevy 3/4 ton PU) in 1982. Right now I have a 47 Plymouth Coupe and a 1970 F100 pu. The 47 is my daily driver and the 70 is just for hauling stuff.
Hi. I was in Coos Bay today for family Thanksgiving gathering. I'm a SNOB (Society of Native Oregon Born), born in Gold Beach, living in Grants Pass. Let's get together this spring when I get my car done...
Sounds like a great Idea. You can come over to the coast to cool off from those warm days you get over there. Or I can come over and warm up.... Grafitti in Roseburg maybe.
I'll plan on it. I'll let you know via Private Message if/when I come over that way. Is that your hot rod? Rodger
Welcome from just west of Portland, we used to have some good times at Coos Bay. In the early 70's we competed in the sand drags and hill climbs down there. Cecil Shaw was your top competitor down there.
welcome from near Vancouver.....Canada... I have been through your area a few times.... and love it !!! Roy
The 36 Ford in the picture was my first full build hotrod. It started as a dune buggy and the title said 68 assembled on it. I have some pics of it with the flathead in it but they are in storage in Alaska. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=30140 My current (daily driver) is this 47 Plymouth Coupe. The car was sad when I got it. I drive em when I have em. Heres the pics I have uploaded so far. The pics show before and after lowering what the car looks like now and what it looked like the morning after I got it home. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=30137
