Just got back from snappin' these... Sorry for shitty cell phone pics..
This used to be the Bob Ford dealership till it got switched to Fairlane Ford sometime in the late '70's or early '80's... As you can see, lots has changed from the early days... :(
The photos were taken from the corner of Chase Rd. and Michigan Ave.,.......

My wife got me a license plate frame from them for my Fairlane. She's cool about that kind of thing.

I own a 73 Mustang coupe with 31K miles that was sold new at Bob Ford. I didn't make the connection of the significance to the dealership and its race car heritage. My car is a rust-free survivor with 100% original Medium Aqua paint. Apparently, it went wound up in Alabama early on, and then Tennessee (where I bought it), and now in Arkansas; which explains the lack of rust. Cool pictures of Bob Ford! Thanks.

Don’t have any pictures unfortunately. However purchased a used 61 Ford Starliner with a 390, three speed from the used car lot across Michigan Ave from the main dealership. I’ve had a lot of cars but the Starliner is the one I would like to have back.

Me too. Had a black 61 Starliner. 401 hp 390, T85 OD 3spd, 5.12 rear, heavy suspension, 15" whls. A great street & strip racer. My all time favorite street machine. Greg

Mine was also black with a red interior. It was the 300 hp version. Immediately put a Hurst shifter in it. Sold it to get a 65 GTO. Also had a 67 GTO but now if I could have any of those back it would be the Starliner. Starliners are pretty rare saw a very nice one a couple years ago at Crusn’the Coast in Biloxi Ms.

Used to work at Bob Ford back in the late 70's. Not a bad place to work. Knew the owner from another Ford dealer I worked at for a number of years. Guess he changed the name to Fairlane Ford after he took over. Last Ford dealer I worked at I ran into a buddy that worked there for a number of years. He had a lot of good stories working there. Especially about the owners daughter. Boy the owner hated him.
