  3. I'm going to run chrome lugs and push-throughs on my front wheels. I actually think this looks better than spiders when used on a chrome rim [which I have].

FWIW Speedway makes a set thats only 149.95. They look great and are not 300.00 like Moons. Just my opinion.

  6. Boones - I got mine thru Radir wheels. they were like $50 or so..

I can't find any either. I couldn't use Radir's because they are for the Astro Supremes which are a different diameter than my chevy steelies.

Stocktonwheel.com or petepaulsen.com has push thru bullets and lug nuts for steelies.

A push through bullet is a bullet wheel center cap that goes into the large middle hole of the wheel from the back instead of bolting or screwing to it from the front. It gives a clean look but they have to fit right or they can sag or rattle.

Wheel Vintiques has them too. They just aren't in the catalog or on the website. They are in the picture of the Series 64 OE Chrome wheel though. You gotta call and ask for them. Mine were thrown in with the wheels, but they told me 'regularly' they're $75 for 4. BUT they are about 3-3/8" OD, so probably won't fit old wheels. They do fit the new Vintiques steel wheels though.

  22. Another good idea for push-through's is to hit some of the local shows and swaps and find the dude selling chrome tidbits. At the bigger shows there's usually at least one guy selling them. Just take measurments and find out if they'll work for you before you snag some. Personally, I'm probably going to try Vintiques, since they're here in town.

Thanks guys. so far i've only checked with Radir and Nite Prowlers and they don't have any push thrus that will fit my wheels which are 2-7/8 OD.

  27. I went to GoodGuys Sunday in Pleasanton and they had push through bullets everywhere at the swapmeet, all different sizes, too. I'm going to pick up a couple next time, I forgot to measure the hole in my wheel, make sure you do that first...

Around 93 when i got my first 63 Galaxie I wanted spiders for it but nobody I knew had them. So I kinda gave up on them. Then one day I was in the store my Xgirlfriend worked at & I noticed the containers that Legs *****hose come in had a nice chrome bullet cover on them. :D

When I picked her up from work she had a purse full of those *****hose bullets. ****, the next day I got some chrome lug nuts & epoxyed those bullets to my rims & I was stylin'. HAHA.

I found this old post while searching for astros & it jarred my memory. So I thought I'd share my lame but funny (to me) story.

Pardon my stupidity, but exactly what part of the wheel are you measuring?
I currently have the stock rims from my 52 Chevy on the car but I also have a set of chrome reverse. Will the same "push through" work for both? I'd love to get a set of them. Thanks for the help. Mike.
