On Wed, Dec 7 (correction), my buddy and I will start our run to the Hot Rod Revolution in my flattie powered 40 Ford coupe. I figure somewhere around Montgomery, AL should be our first nights stop as we'll probably start early (being really stoked about the trip). Since I personally have never been out that way I thought it would be great to meet up with any HAMBers from there, hang out for a bit, tell some lies, get an idea on a good place to stay and eat not too far off the main drag, etc.

Here are a couple pics of the car - only difference now is I'm running black rims and one of Bubba's flattie electronic distributors ..... what a difference that distributor makes!

  2. Nope not from thee and as a matter of fact its probably been 25 years since I have been there.

but if all you need to do is find someone to tell lies to PM me and I'll send you my number. Just remember the first liar never stands a chance. :)

Dreamland is O.K.; they are well known here in 'Bama. I like a place that cooks their pig over hardwood like Country's or Sam's here in Montgomery.

I've been covered up at work and haven't hardly seen any local rodders in a while, but I'll contact some of the few HAMBer's around here.

    Later, *****6

Live in Montgomery, agree that Dreamland is a good place for old fashioned barbeque, interving a candidate for a job that night or would be available...(love your car)...hopefully some other Montgomery area HAMBers will show you some Alabama hospitality....

Hey fellas, thanks for all the heads up - I really appreciate it. Dreamland sounds like a plan. Sorry for the minor confusion but we'll be traveling next week to the HRR, coming through Dec 7th (my bad), so I hope to meet up with some of you then. We should be getting to your area about 5PM as we intend to leave about 3AM that morning, and we're staying at the Red Bluff Cottage - thanks for the heads up on the B&B, *****6!

PM me and we'll exchange phone numbers so I can call y'all when we're getting close ....
